Join us Saturday, July 4th, for a special Independence Day Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis — a celebration of faith and freedom held beneath the Basilica’s stunning mosaic domes. All are welcome to gather in prayer and gratitude for our nation as we mark this holiday together.

Even before Archbishop John J. Glennon announced “I propose to build a temple in the name of the Lord my God,” in February of 1905, plans for a new Cathedral for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis were already underway.
The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis is a one-of-a-kind work of art. The contributions of more than a dozen architects and artisans have come together in a remarkably unified whole. From the soaring dome to the intricate mosaics, every detail draws the eye and the heart upward toward the transcendent.

Prayer is at the heart of everything we do here. Each day we lift up the intentions of people from across the world, bringing their needs before God. We would be honored to pray for you and those you love.
